|The Central Valley Chapter sponsors two annual sholarships: CLSA Education Foundation.|
Qualified Applicant(s) will be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Surveying, Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or Geomatics Engineering approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America.
Qualified Applicant(s) will be currently enrolled in an associate degree program in surveying, surveying engineering, geomatics, or geomatics engineering with the intent to attend an accredited surveying course baccalaureate program or pursue a career in the land surveying profession.
Qualified Applicant (s) will:
- Live in the Central Valley Chapter area (Merced, San Joaquin or Stanislaus County)
- or in adjacent chapter areas (Mariposa, Tuolumne, Calaveras, Amador and Alpine Counties)
If a candidate cannot be found to meet the criteria listed above, the foundation will NOT select anyone and the scholarship will rollover.
Qualified Candidates will be selected by applying the following preferences as listed in no particular order of importance.
- Maintains a 3.0 grade point average in their Major.
- Have experience in the land surveying profession.
- Have already achieved a valid LSIT.
- Are Trig*Star winners

Jesse Stanley Memorial Scholarship
Through the efforts of Howard Brunner and others, including the Central Valley Chapter, a
memorial scholarship has been established through the CLSA Education Foundation.
Donations can be made using the CLSA Education Foundation Brochure. Just be sure to indicate on your form that the monies are to go to Jesse Stanley Memorial Scholarship.
Or you can contact CLSA Central Office. to make a one-time (or recurrring) donation.
Qualified Applicants will complete a Foundation application in accordance with current Foundation guidelines and time frame.
