Rob McMillan

Rob McMillan, PLS, EIT, is a Senior Transportation Surveyor for Caltrans working in District 4 as the Branch Chief for Surveys Coordination, GPS, and New Technology in the Division of Right of Way and Land Surveys. Rob currently serves as the CLSA Education Committee Chairman, and Sacramento CLSA Chapter President.

3D Mobile Scanning: The Bay Bridge Project (and maybe some other stuff) – Caltrans used Airborne, Mobile and Stationary Laser Scanning to create a digital “As-Built” of the new SFOBB. This presentation will discuss the project in general, the team, our approach to control, results work products, challenges faced, interesting aspects, and lessons learned. Other projects of interest may be shown as well.
