Patrick Tami, PLS, Principal Surveyor with R.E.Y. Engineers, Inc. will be speaking on The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) new exam formats, procedures and schedules.
Mr. Tami was recognized, in 2011 with the NCEES Distinguished Service Award for his dedication and service to the engineering and surveying professions. He has been involved with numerous professional associations and legislating boards during his 34 year career. As a staunch supporter of the licensure process Mr. Tami has been actively involved, at both the state and national level, in developing, proctoring and grading the license examinations for both the Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.).
As a former NCEES Western Zone Vice President, he represented engineering and surveying licensing boards from 13 western states and two U.S. territories. Originally appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger in 2006 to the California Board for Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologist (BPELSG), he was named President of the board in 2008. Mr. Tami was reappointed in to the BPELSG in 2012 by Governor Brown and continues to serve as the Professional Land Surveyor.
