Patrick Tami, PLS, vice president of RBF Consulting, was recently honored with the Dorothy Calegari Distinguished Service Award in Surveying. The award was presented at the combined California Land Surveyor Association (CLSA) and Nevada Association of Land Surveyors (NALS) Conference in Reno, Nevada. The Dorothy Calegari Distinguished Service Award is the California Land Surveyor's Association’s highest service recognition, awarded to individuals demonstrating exemplary, long term, service to the Surveying profession.

Mr. Tami has made extensive contributions to both CLSA and the advancement of the land surveying profession throughout his 30 year career. Pat's first involvement with CLSA was as a student volunteer, eventually serving as the association’s president in 2001. The author of numerous articles and a nationally recognized speaker, Mr. Tami has served as Vice President of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Western Zone; as a member and 2008 President of the California Board for Engineers and Land Surveyors (BPELS); as President of the Bay Counties Association of Engineers and Land Surveyors; and as Chairman of the East Bay Municipal Engineers.
